Summary:
The Front Desk Administrative/Medical Assistant functions in a clinical and administrative support role to assist the health care professional to ensure the delivery of quality health care services.
REQUIREMENTS:
General:
CPR certification or acquisition within 90 days of employment Education:
Minimum:
High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge of medical office processes and functions Certified/Registered Medical Assistant, Medical Secretary Program Completion Work
Experience:
Minimum:
Recent clinical and administrative experience and/or vocational training with an emphasis on check-in/out, front desk duties, prior authorizations, and referrals with EMR experience a must.

Administrative Skills Effective verbal and written skills Customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction Able to protect confidential patient information Able to communicate with demanding customers politely and efficiently Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Windows Basic office skills:
filing, data entry, typing Basic office machine usage:
fax, copier, postage machine, printer, 10 key adding machine, scanning Multi-line phone triage skills including transferring calls, taking and delivering messages, phone etiquette, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Independently mobile Approximately 80% of time spent standing/walking Moderate to heavy computer use Periodic heavy physical exertion Ability to lift to 60 pounds Frequent bending, kneeling, overhead lifting, pushing, and pulling Moderate degree of strength due to physical exertion required by patient positioning lifting or wheelchair transfer ACCIDENT AND HEALTH HAZARDS:
Potential exposure to communicable disease, and/or body fluids, medicines, and materials common in a latex-rich ambulatory healthcare environment.
